Why I Built Capacity Training
Oct 12, 2026
I always liked running. But every time I tried to run consistently, I ended up hurt.
I had an issue with that for 20 years.
I finally figured out I just needed to run easier. And to give my body time to adapt.
Why I built it
People have a lot of trouble combining running and lifting. And people have a lot of trouble running without getting hurt.
The whole reason I built this is to help people balance the two, and even more so, to learn how to run without getting hurt and enjoy it.
Most training apps
Here's the problem with most training apps: they give you a program that's really just a fixed set of workouts.
They don't know anything about you: your training history, your goals, if your squat is strong while your bench press sucks, or if you're running your easy days way too hard.
They just tell you what to do and hope it works.
What Capacity does
If you keep getting hurt every time you try to run, you're probably running too fast.
Capacity teaches you how to build up your mileage slowly by learning how to run easy, with easy cross-training and your lifting planned around it.
Once you build that base, you get into the fun stuff: intervals, and running faster.
It builds your program around your schedule, your training history, and your goals. Then it adjusts based on what happens when you train.
Basically, I just want this app to be the best programming out there, and the most adaptable.

Balancing lifting and running is hard. That's why Capacity does it for you.
